¿QUIÉN SABE? is a hybrid object conceived by Laura Sebastianes, a projection device activated through a small lamp. Exploring perception through light, images, and transparencies, it unfolds through a sequence of gestures: to open, loosen, connect, assemble, and illuminate.
Materials and transparencies interact, transforming the projected image with each new configuration. Rooted in Laura’s sculptural language, the work extends into an editorial format.
The edition comprises a box, a foldable screen, a wooden board, 35 illustrated cards, a projection lamp, and a booklet. Drawing on the visual language of tabletop games, each element is activated through manipulation and assembly. When not in use, the edition also assumes the presence of a sculptural lamp. Handcrafted components may present subtle variations in tone or material, inherent to the artisanal process.
